Lachlan is a 19 year old from Eleebana, Lake Macquarie, NSW. Having started in karts when 13, he moved in to Formula Vee in 2016, where he gained the Hot Shot and Rookie of the Year awards in his first year. In 2018, Lachlan competed in the inaugural RX8 Cup Series, finishing the season in the top 10. In 2019, Lachlan started the season by racing in his first ever Bathurst 6 Hour. He has continued to race at the front of the pack in the RX8 Cup Series, currently sitting 7th out of 28 cars, after missing an entire round due to a lack of budget. His end goal is to race professionally, with a passion for endurance racing.
Lachlan has a strong passion for racing. His number one goal is to move into the top tiers of Australian Motorsport. He loves the team atmosphere and competitiveness of endurance racing, having competed in the Bathurst 6 Hour in 2019. Lachlan was commended on holding his own in a very competitive field, with many accolades on his driving skill, composure and confidence. His ability to read track conditions, feel car setup, and adapt quickly to on track changes makes him confident in achieving sound results in any racing he competes in in 2020.
In addition to the Bathurst 6 Hour and completing the RX8 Cups Series for 2019, Lachlan is always searching for racing opportunities, such as Aussie Race Cars, Toyota 86, Super Utes and other endurance races here and abroad.
In 2020, Lachlan will again compete in the RX8 Cup Series, with an intent on finishing on the podium at each round. He will also be seeking backing to compete in a variety of other racing opportunities to broaden his experience and skills in the Motorsport Arena.
